Anyone look familiar in this photo? šŸ˜‰

With this warm spring-like weather upon us, I can’t help but think about sandy beaches and margaritas! Add in Engagement Season and you’ve got us pondering over Destination Weddings! If you’ve decided a Destination Wedding is the way you and your lovie are going to seal the deal, read on to help determine which location for your Destination Wedding is right for you!

I Want to Stay in the Country but Travel Somewhere My Guests Will Love!

Choosing a Destination Wedding in the states not only saves you a pretty penny, but it also allows for you to enjoy a part of the country that you’ve always loved but perhaps don’t live in. Not to mention it also allows for more of your guests to attend. Areas such as Vegas, Miami, Austin, and DC are accustomed to having couples from out of state having weddings in there state that are looking for something a little different yet closer to home.

Give Me Beaches, Give Me Sun!

If the idea of having a wedding on the beach is your idea of the perfect wedding, then look no further. Resorts in the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Central America are your prime locations for having a Destination Wedding. Earlier this year my best friend had her wedding in the Dominican Republic (hint above photo), and everyone invited had a blast. Many of her guests that had never been oversees had the perfect excuse to apply for a passport and join in on the festivities.

Looking For a Bit More Culture!

Whether it’s allowing your guests the option to visit the ruins of Pompeii, enjoying the genuine hospitality of Ireland, or taking in a glass of wine in between wedding activities in Tuscany, if giving your guests an experience of a lifetime is your cup of tea, then having a Destination Wedding abroad is just right for you. Couples are aiming for countries a bit more extended then our neighboring islands and taking their wedding guests along with them. My best advice: Don’t go at this alone. Hire a wedding planner either local or abroad that can assist in wedding details overseas to ensure you’re getting the best package for your wedding and that your plans are coming to life even though there may be a body of water away.

There you have it! Whether it’s having coordinating something a bit more local, taking your friends & family to the beach, or hopping on a bit of a longer plane ride, you’re sure to find the perfect backdrop for your perfect destination wedding šŸ™‚

Margaritas anyone?
