With the little bit of time I do have in between answering emails, meeting with new clients, and yes actually still working a separate full-time job, I love checking out some of my favorite Instagram accounts on the go. These Instagram accounts inspire, motivate, and sometimes even have me drooling over their posts and I think you should check them out too!

Splendor Styling – @splendorstyling

When I first bought my home in DC I was all about finding inspiration to decorate it. The more I searched on Instagram the more I came across extremely talented Interior Designers and immediately I fell in love. I happened to stumble across #DClatincreatives and was drawn right away to Mariella’s account. I could feel her warmth through the screen and whenever I commented on any of her photos she promptly responded. Before we even had the pleasure of meeting at this year’s Like a Boss Event we were already on a first names basis. From her love of glam and the fact that she’s a fellow Latina, I love following along on Instagram to see which project Mariella is currently working on.

Taylor & Hov Events – @taylorandhovevents

Speaking frankly, as creatives the one thing I think we lack sometimes is creativity. I think sometimes a lot of us get lost in what others are doing. We see there success and think that must also be what I should be doing to find success, but that’s simply not true. I love coming across accounts that push boundaries with their designs or step out on a limb and create something pretty fantastic that no one thought to do before. This is how I absolutely fell in love with what Sugar & Nar are crushing at the moment. I love how they always think outside of the box and aren’t afraid to experiment with color. Every time I come across one of their posts, I know I’m going to be blown away!

Cake and Punch Productions – @cakeandpunch_

I stumbled across the dynamic duo of Cake & Punch Productions (Christina & Erica) when they first liked one of my alternative weddings posts. How I didn’t know about these two sooner, I’m not even sure! I immediately knew I had to follow their account when I saw the photos from there styled shoot celebrating #lovewins, which featured flying pink flamingos – seriously you have the check it out! From there I’m always surprised by what I see next. The passion these two have for planning weddings & events is super contagious and I’m so glad they technically found me – haha!

Michelle Elaine Weddings – @meweddings

I think when you first start out in a new industry it’s important to reach out and network with other creatives outside of your city. To me, it allows you to also have a fresh set of ideas that aren’t only limited to what your region is used to seeing. I first came across Michelle’s business through Facebook and reached out to her to say how much in love I was with her work and how she’s killing the game in NY. Even though we’ve never met in person, she’s one of the sweetest wedding and event planners I’ve met and I love our convos about the difference in the market here in DC and NY.

Fabulous in the Kitchen – @fabulousnthekitchen

WARNING: THIS ACCOUNT ISN’T FOR THE PICKY EATERS AND YES THAT’S A PICTURE OF FRENCH TOAST. It’s no secret how much I’m in love with food. I came across Rocquelle’s account through a friend that was praising her cooking skills and that’s when my stomach began to grumble. Based here in the DMV, Fabulous in the Kitchen is all about food! On one of her recent trips to San Diego she mentioned she was eating at Cafe21 and how delish it was. I ended up passing along the restaurant to my brother who is stationed there as well and he says it’s now one of his favorite breakfast spots and takes everyone there when they visit. Now you can purchase her cookbook and enjoy even more of her mouth watering meals.
