If you ever believed you needed a large guest count to have a good time,  Zoe and Joe’s micro wedding at La Vie DC will have you seeing things differently! With only 25 guests in attendance, their wedding day was both absolutely gorgeous and incredibly intimate. We took a classic wedding color palette of white, greenery, and black, and created something that felt modern, yet timeless, for them at La Vie. Romantic, Beautiful & Joyful Wedding Details

We love when our couples are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside! Zoe and Joe were so full of love and light as they got ready (separately) before their wedding ceremony at La Vie. Zoe wore a stunning Pronovias gown with dreamy lace details and delicate diamond accessories. The look on her dad’s face when he saw her will make your heart grow three sizes (I promise!). Joe was equally as joyful getting ready with his groomsmen, and we loved how much fun they were having taking group photos before the ceremony!

A Waterfront Wedding Ceremony at La Vie

If you are looking for an iconic yet intimate place to exchange vows, the rooftop at La Vie overlooking the water has to be one of our favorites. We worked with Wander + Whimsy Floral and Event Styling to create two pillars of stunning white and blush florals with greenery that would add act as a focal point for Zoe and Joe, without distracting guests from the view. The space was absolutely flawless. Once Zoe and Joe had been pronounced husband and wife, they took a few portraits with their wedding party before heading down to the water for even more wedding photos by the pier.

Black and White Wedding Decor

Black and white wedding decor will always be a vibe. We mixed modern black plates and flatware with white linens and menu cards for an elegant yet modern look. Take it from us (we have been doing this for almost a decade now!), black and white never goes out of style. For Zoe and Joe, we softened the black and white tablescape with classic blush and white florals. Then, came the candles. You can NEVER have too many candles. This created a more intimate ambiance to suit their micro wedding guest list. With only 25 people in attendance, we were able to keep everyone at the same table to mix and mingle and simply enjoy each other’s company. It was absolute perfection.

A Micro Wedding at La Vie DC

If there is one thing we are passionate about here, it’s planning and designing weddings that are not ONLY beautiful but are also a great time. We are here for all the good times (and good vibes). From the moment Zoe and Joe made their grand entrance (and grabbed their signature cocktails), big smiles did not leave their faces. It was pure wedding bliss throughout the entire reception. We are already counting down the days until we can head back to the waterfront at La Vie again!

A Micro Wedding Guest List with a Big Experience

Zoe and Joe tied the knot in the summer of 2021. Even though they chose to keep their guest list small, they didn’t sacrifice any part of their experience.
