Katherine & Justin chose Middleburg, VA as the perfect middle ground for friends and family traveling from all over the country. With their shared love of the outdoors, Goodstone Inn was a natural choice for their wedding destination. When Katherine and I first sat down to discuss design, she expressed her love for bold colors and vintage touches. Even though the celebration would take place under a sperry cloth tent, she wanted the space to exude warmth and character. Through many conversations and creative sessions, a palette of rich greens began to take shape, eventually evolving into the beautiful design you see today. The best day, with the best couple, on one of the most pristine properties in Virginia - ending with an unforgettable splash in the pool. Truly an epic celebration!

Modern romantic Old-World Garden wedding

From the moment we met Karis & Sager, we hit the ground running. Karis envisioned a modern, timeless, and romantic wedding in the heart of DC, infused with touches of European elegance. With her stunning Nicole + Felicia gown at the center of her wedding design, we drew inspiration from its ethereal bodice and wove that aesthetic throughout the design. The historic Larz Anderson House was transformed into an Old English garden meets high-fashion couture affair - truly the wedding of the spring.

When it came time to find the perfect venue for Jill & Connor, their wish list was simple yet specific: a space with both indoor and outdoor options, a beautiful backdrop for guests traveling in, and most importantly, a setting that felt like being whisked away to the Italian countryside - capturing that effortless European summer vibe without crossing the pond. From the moment we toured The Estate at River Run, we knew it was the one. Every design decision circled back to that theme, and as the wedding weekend unfolded, it became clear it would be one our team would never forget.

Draping was always the vibe. At SBE, we focus on identifying what matters most to our couples, and then taking that design to the next level. For Jessica & Ross, transforming the blank canvas of Long View Gallery into a warm, cozy space for their guests was top priority. With the addition of candles galore, the transformation was nothing short of magical. This modern, minimalist fall wedding continues to inspire many of our future couples.

DECADENT RED ROSE WEDDING

Decadent. Luxurious. A little bit daring. When the bride’s middle name is Rose and her favorite color is red, it was only fitting that Raychel & Brett’s wedding overflowed with this vibrant floral choice. Over 5,000 long-stemmed red roses transformed every inch of the historic Perry Belmont House in the most unforgettable way. Paired with modern, smoky, and gold-accented décor, this bold and romantic celebration was truly a dream come true for the color-loving bride.

OCEANSIDE LUXURY IN PUERTO VALLARTA

For Brittani & Jared’s wedding, we designed a custom all-white stage right on the beach and intentionally paired clear acrylic details with a timeless palette of greenery and white florals - enhancing, rather than distracting from, the paradise setting. While the couple originally envisioned using one of the resort’s designated event spaces, we saw the opportunity to take it further. The result? An incredible monochromatic all-white reception under the stars, hosted on the resort’s transformed tennis court. Guests entered through a lush floral arch and were immediately immersed in the dreamscape that was Brittani & Jared’s destination wedding. One word to describe the night? ICONIC.
