Styled Photo Shoot: A Walk to Remember – First Thoughts

f12395fd594a34a46a82e984a38d5e08

It’s official! I have my first styled shoot underneath my belt – oh yea! After MONTHS of scheduling and REscheduling due to our over-active winter this season in the DMV, everything finally came together and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful sunny day to capture my vision.

The theme of the shoot “A Walk to Remember” was inspired by the movie released in 2002 based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks. In the shoot I wanted to feature a little white chapel, lots of florals, lace, and earth tones. Something fresh for the upcoming Spring Season. I was 12 when this movie first came out and I remember being absolutely in LOVE with the movie as cheesy as it was. I just thought the love story was unbelievably cute! (alright maybe it’s my sappy love side too, but don’t judge me).

I knew that the little white chapel was going to be the focal point in this entire shoot, so when I came across Milton Ridge I knew I found my location! When it came time to organize the rest of my vendors I relied on some networking connects I made while starting off this business and relied on my dad Clarence Arnold Photography to be the photographer. My sister Chelsie Rivera assisted as well with the creative direction and my best friend Monet Bullock and her fiance Marcellus Clement served as the bride and groom. It was a family affair!

Overall the day itself was a lot harder that I thought it was going to be but I’m very happy with how everything turned out. And just like any typical wedding day, my feet were throbbing by the end of it all. Mind you, Clarksburg, MD is about an hour north of me so I had an early start of 3:30am but I could barely contain the excitement that took place throughout the day. I CANNOT wait to see the final edited shots 🙂

Once all the editing is complete you’ll be able to see the beauty of it all, but for now scroll down below to see some behind the scene shots and a complete vendor list.
