B + J were married on August 29, 2017 at Dumbarton House
This was such a fun wedding to design and plan at Dumbarton House! During our first meeting I knew that there would be plenty of interesting elements, not seen in a typical wedding. For starters these two had a love for history, so we wanted to find a venue in which that had a lot of old DC charm. As soon as they saw Dumbarton House, it was a winner! Right in the middle of Georgetown and nestled between the trees, even during the torrential rain we had that week, it proved to be the perfect spot for these two to gather with friends and family for their nuptials.
The theme of their wedding was New Age Jazz Garden Party, so guests were encourage to dress in their 20’s and 40’s attire as they sipped on signature Bee’s Knee’s cocktails in gold rimmed glasses and listened to the sounds of Etta James in the background by a live performer. Guests were also treated to a make-your-own milkshake station to help beat the heat!
