An Unforgettable Wedding Weekend Celebration at Perry Belmont House

In the midst of a city alive with history (yes – we’re looking at you DC!), Priscilla and Brad’s wedding weekend in DC blossomed into something straight out of a contemporary love story (brought together with affection and meticulous planning, of course). When Priscilla and Brad decided to bring us on board for their big day, they were envisioning a celebration that effortlessly blended simplicity with sophistication. A day that was as stress-free as it was stunning.

We loved working with this fun duo to plan not only their wedding day, but also a heartwarming welcome party and a joyous after-party! We took over the infamous Monument Suite at one of our favorite hotels in the city, The Line Hotel. It was there we welcomed Priscilla and Brad’s closest friends and family for a weekend to remember. If you are on the fence about a welcome party, just do it. We always find that this is the best way for us to get to know the most important people in your life even before the wedding day occurs. Additionally, the entire wedding weekend was a testament to love, laughter, and the timeless beauty of gathering close friends and family. We’re brimming with excitement to share all the details with you today!

Getting Ready With Family and Friends

Firstly, you could feel the buzz of excitement hanging in the air as Priscilla, encircled by her closest friends and family, prepped for her big day at The Line Hotel in DC. There’s this special kind of thrill that lights up the room on a wedding day morning. You really get to soak up the day ahead (and be reminded of some of the most gorgeous details – like your wedding invitations or Christian Louboutin bridal shoes). Even as Brad got ready for the day, he was the picture of sophistication, as he slipped into his sleek tuxedo and cream dinner jacket, paired with a chic bow tie.

A First Look at the Line Hotel

First looks are always special. For Priscilla, the first look with her father was a poignant moment, soon followed by the eagerly awaited first look with Brad at Perry Belmont. Although we are usually working away behind the scenes, ensuring every detail is perfect, the captured photographs of these moments spoke volumes of the day’s emotional depth.

A Dupont Circle Wedding Ceremony

At Perry Belmont House we crafted an aesthetic that mirrored the couple’s vision: classic, timeless, with a gentle nod to the allure of a garden. All of this coincides with the setting of the ceremony in the historic charm of DC’s Dupont Circle. The ceremony was a harmonious blend of modernity and tradition. The wedding party and officiants, donned in modern black attire, stood in striking contrast to the light and airy color palette.

Wedding Portraits: Capturing the Joy After the Ceremony

After the vows were exchanged, the bride and groom, their wedding party, and families took a quiet moment for portraits. Seeing all those happy, glowing faces after the formalities of the ceremony have wrapped up is always incredibly fulfilling. It’s in these candid moments of pure joy and relief where the true spirit of the celebration comes alive. These fleeting glimpses of genuine emotion and closeness are the very reasons we’re so passionate about what we do—bringing people together to honor love in its truest form.

Wedding Reception Details

As the evening began, guests were greeted by a grand entrance, accented with lush greenery and flowers, preparing them for a memorable night ahead. We carefully created the reception space to match Priscilla and Brad’s vision. We set the tables with pristine white linens, complemented by vases of various sizes of white flowers and vibrant greenery. This created a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere under the soft glow of ambient lighting. Moreover, the night was alive with the soulful melodies of Sweet Something Jazz. The band that perfectly encapsulated Priscilla and Brad’s style. As guests dined and danced, the music elevated the experience in every way.

The Wedding After-Party

Afterwords, as the final notes of the evening began to fade, the after-party at The LINE Hotel marked the end of a beautifully orchestrated day. Priscilla, radiant in a chic, short white dress, and Brad, embodying casual sophistication with his bow tie undone, epitomized the essence of relaxed elegance. It was the perfect ending to an incredible evening.
