When Carlee and Eric reached out for day of coordination last year, we were thrilled to hear their wedding was planned at one of our favorite DC wedding venues. A spring wedding at Anderson House is always a treat here at Simply Breathe Events! And while most of our couples hire us for full wedding planning and design, the couples that hire us for day of coordination are just as important to us! We firmly believe that having the help of a stellar wedding team to help reel in those final details and keep the stress levels at bay is the greatest insurance policy our couples can purchase. With that in mind, we are featuring one of our fabulous “day-of” couples on the blog today!

Swoon-worthy details and attire

Carlee was the epitome of style and grace in her gorgeous A-line gown and her gorgeous “something blue” shoes were giving us all the feels. Her bridal party also looked absolutely stunning in blush too! In the other getting-ready suite, the guys were getting ready in their sharp black suits. We love the navy/black combo that Eric chose for his suit jacket too!

Spring Wedding Portraits at Anderson House

The courtyard at Larz Anderson House is an iconic location for wedding portraits in DC. It’s one of our favorite places in the venue – especially for our DC wedding couples that want to enjoy a European aesthetic without getting on a plane. Carlee and Eric’s first look was absolute magic and we will be forever in awe of their ability to lock eyes with one another like they were the only two people in the world!

Spring Garden Wedding at Anderson House

Carlee and Eric planned an outdoor wedding ceremony at Anderson House and the sun showed up to shine for them in full force. It was a BEAUTIFUL day in May for a wedding! Their chuppah was enhanced with an abundance of greenery and florals, and we put their beautifully decorated Ketubah in view as Carlee and Eric said their I Do’s. If you are dreaming of lush in the city, this garden wedding setup was bringing all the vibes.

After their garden wedding ceremony, it was time to embrace the mansion vibes in all their glory. Carlee and Eric took a few portraits around the Anderson House as we put the final touches of their wedding reception set up (keep scrolling!).

Classic and Elegant Wedding Reception

The Larz Anderson House never disappoints. Whether you are dreaming of over-the-top design or living for all the minimalist energy, the regal and elegant nature of the space always hits right. Carlee and Eric kept their wedding reception decor classic and elegant with blush, white, and greenery with metallic gold accents throughout (we were living for the gold cutlery and gold-rimmed chargers!). Candles on each table added to the romantic ambiance and we lit every single one right before guests were welcomed in.

A Fantastic Spring Wedding at Anderson House

We will never tire of seeing our couples making their grand entrance down the grand staircase of Anderson House. Carlee and Eric spent the evening dancing and celebrating with their family and friends. At the end of the evening, we could not have been happier for our newlyweds!! Because what good is a beautiful wedding if you can’t truly enjoy it, right?
