We couldn’t be more delighted to share Stephanie and Patrick’s wedding at Morais Vineyard on the blog today for a beautiful blend of “Virginia is for Lovers” meets “Summer Romance”. Their Virginia wedding venue, Morais Vineyard, provided the perfect European feel all while still right in DC’s backyard. We love a destination wedding that feels close to home! An Emotional First Look in the Gardens
One of the things we love about planning a wedding at Morias Vineyard is that there are no shortage of beautiful locations for a first look, but honestly, these two were so sweet who could even notice the view?! From the moment Stephanie and Patrick locked eyes, we knew the day would be pure magic. Next, can we have a moment for her stunning bouquet? We worked with their florist (make sure to scroll to the end for all of the vendor credits for this wedding at Morias Vineyard) to combine their bright and beautiful color palette with fresh seasonal blooms. Naturally, it was a show-stopper!
Gorgeous Garden Wedding at Morais Vineyard
Although a little extra planning is always required, we love outdoor wedding ceremonies. Exchanging vows on an immaculately manicured lawn underneath the gorgeous white pergola (which we adorned with florals and greenery, naturally), we couldn’t have imagined a more picturesque setting worthy of these two love birds. From “we are gathered here today” to the quintessential recessional kiss after being pronounced husband and wife – we were obsessed.
European Vibe + A Vineyard Wedding Venue in Virginia
Greeting guests as they arrived at the reception was a gorgeous champagne wall and a sign reading “we’re so glad you’re here”. After all, first impressions are important. What better way to get the party started than with champagne? The wall was a hit!
Moving into their gorgeous ballroom wedding reception, we used a bold and unique color palette with shades of burgundy and yellows to both add dimension and infuse joy into the space (not that this ballroom needed any help – check out those gorgeous arched windows!). For example, we chose tall floral centerpieces (that ensured guests could converse effortlessly) paired with an elegant and minimal tablescape design. No detail was overlooked. Additionally, we even decorated the outdoor water feature!
A Wedding Reception or Wedding Party?
Like we alluded to in the beginning, these two brought the heat and the fun. The dance floor was absolutely packed all night and I don’t think a single photo was taken where not every guest was absolutely grinning from ear to ear. This wedding at Morias Vineyard was SPECIAL. As wedding planners, it is the most rewarding feeling ever to see a room full of people having a great time. Seriously. We want you and your guests to have THIS much fun.
