A First Look + Wedding Portraits at the Kennedy Center
There is no shortage of incredible views in DC, but the Kennedy Center has to be one of our favorites, for both wedding day and engagement photos. The way Jeff looked at Alexis during their first look was PRICELESS. These photos have us seriously swooning. After an emotional first look, Alexis and Jeff took their stunning wedding portraits by the river and then against the backdrop of the Kennedy Center’s modern facade.
A wedding is never really complete without our fur babies, is it? Alexis and Jeff’s sweet dog made a cameo for their portraits! Peep that precious pink collar!
A moment for these white bridesmaid dresses! We love an all white wedding color palette and these ladies all looked phenomenal in floor-length white gowns for a modern twist.
Wedding Ceremony at District Winery
With floor-to-ceiling windows and an iconic view of the Anacostia river, it’s hard to imagine a more idyllic DC wedding venue. With two asymmetrical floral pillars anchoring the space, nobody in attendance could take their eyes off of Alexis and Jeff exchanging their vows. Everyone burst into applause after their first kiss and the newlyweds hands shot up in the air as they walked down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs!
Modern wedding details for their reception
We’ve alluded to the modern details we loved, and now we are showing the receipts. One of our favorite show stoppers was the larger than life white welcome sign that our bride Alexis handcrafted herself! Truly though, there was a lot to love about every corner of this wedding reception. With black taper candles, ikebana style centerpieces, and place cards embellished with a wax seal – we couldn’t get enough. On top of it all, we repurposed the gorgeous ceremony pillars to sit behind their sweetheart table.
An Evening Wedding at District Winery
We just can’t help but gush about how incredibly fun and memorable Alexis and Jeff’s wedding reception (and entire day!) was. Watching them share the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple, laughing and twirling, filled all of our hearts with happiness. It was truly a joy to witness them enjoy every single moment they had meticulously planned over the past year. We were so grateful to gave been able to help them bring their plans to life!
A Sparkling Exit for this Wedding at District Winery
Alexis and Jeff’s quintessential celebration was nothing short of perfection, truly encompassing the essence of love and happiness all throughout the day. As you can tell, their keen eye for modern decor left us in awe. Adding the perfect cherry on top, the night was brought to a close with a joyful sparkler exit that will forever be etched in our memories. As wedding planners, we can’t wait to return to the enchanting District Winery and continue creating magical moments for our couples.
