Tkeyah + Solomon were married on August 8th, 2020 at the DC War Memorial
Wedding planning with Tkeyah + Solomon was a perfect alignment of the stars. Their vision for their wedding: [urban jungle] was one we planned and designed months in advance and were epically excited to bring it all to life in August.
And then the world shut-down (see: How to Plan a Wedding During covid).
At the beginning of the pandemic we were hopeful that by the time their wedding date grew near we’d be able to move on as planned. But as most of you know, the more time passed, the more we realized that dream of a wedding pre-covid was losing steam minute by minute. After a long and hard conversation we reassessed the situation and looked towards pivoting their original plan to what you see before you below. We took their existing permit at the DC War Memorial, downsized their guest count, and kept hold of their urban jungle design till they very end. Everything was spectacular and more than we could have ever wanted for these two. And then a few months later we got the biggest news yet – Tkeyah & Solomon’s wedding was featured on Martha Stewart Weddings!! Be sure to check out their entire spread below!
