One of the best parts about planning a wedding is finding the perfect venue! You’ve curated the perfect Pinterest board and now it’s time to find a venue that perfectly matches what you’ve been pinning! The typical wedding venues may be on your list, but what about the ones you may not know about or didn’t know you could possibly have your wedding there? That’s where this list comes into place! Check out our list of our favorite non-traditional DC area wedding venues!
Clarendon Ballroom – Anyone that’s lived in Arlington, or has visited one of the many bars in Clarendon, knows about Clarendon Ballroom! But did you know you could have your wedding there too? Complete with in-house catering and an on-site baker, this non-traditional wedding venue is the perfect local spot for our VA couples. Check out Brett + Matt’s wedding we coordinated their this past summer!
Arena Stage – Located in SW DC, the possibilities for a DC Wedding at this non-traditional venue are endless! Couples that are looking for a more modern flair would totally love this venue’s high exposed ceilings and cement floors, while more traditional couples will appreciate what it can be transformed into! Take Kaisha + Quinton’s wedding for example – all the glam in one room was a winter bride‘s dream!
Edgewood Arts Center – This is one of NE’s best kept secrets and for good reason! Edgewood Art’s Center’s high vaulted ceilings, one wall being completely composed of FOUR glass garage doors, and plenty of on street parking, makes this the PERFECT venue for any intimate wedding! Still not convinced? Check out Erin + Peter’s nuptials to prove my point!
Sequoia’s – There are few DC area restaurants that you can hold a wedding at, that are waterfront, and
also contain vaulted ceilings. Sequoia’s in DC has all of that and more! Though currently under renovations, this expansive Georgetown restaurant has the perfect feel for an urban waterfront wedding and Ashley + Chris couldn’t agree more!
Long View Gallery – Last but certainly not least, Long View Gallery is an art enthusiasts dream! Going with the industrial feel again, the possibilities with this DC Wedding Venue are endless! Lauren + Andrew chose to enhance the space by staying with a neutral summer pallet, however the choice is definitely up to you!
That concludes a round up of our top favorite non-traditional dc area wedding venues! This is definitely not to say that the more traditional ones aren’t superb venues, because they are! We just want to make sure all of your options are explored, as you can see the possibilities are endless!
